Beauty tips-Manicure at home

While doing basic facial at Jentayu Spa, I also requested for manicure.hehe.. 2 in 1. I really love the relaxing, the tradisional smell, the massaging feeling.

Do you know what is the purpose of Manicure? It's to :
-Prevent hang - nail formation.
-Prevents nail damages like splits, tears, and fragile tips.
-The accompanying massage of the hands improve and increase the blood circulation, suppleness and flexibility of the hands and wrist.
-Discourages wrinkling of the skin on the hand, which is one of the first body part to show the sign of aging. (this is the best part for me...)

And, if u don't have enough time to go to salon, you can try at home. Try these..

Tools:

-Bowl of warm water or fingerbath
-Nail clippers
-Cuticle knife and clippers
-Cuticle pusher/Hoof stick
-Nail file/emery board, buffer, scissors, brush and other Manicure Tools

Supplies:
-Cuticle remover, oil and cream
-Massage lotion
-Nail polish
-Base coat polish & ridge filler polish
-Color varnish (optional)
-Top coat or sealant
-Nail polish remover or nail polish remover wipes (optional)
-Hand cream
-Sanitizing spray/towels
-Cotton balls/pads
-Hand towels

Steps :

1.To start, soak a cotton ball in non-acetone remover, and then use it to wipe away any old polish if your nails are bare then you don't have to do this step.

2.Use clippers to trim any split or ragged tips. To make your nails look more even, trim your longest nails until they're about the same length as their shorter counterparts

3.Then use a file always sand in one direction to create the shape you want oval or square are easiest. Flatten any nail bumps with a buffer.

4.Run your hands under warm water for about two minutes this softens your cuticles and gets rid of any leftover remover.

5.Then take a cuticle stick and gently push back the skin at the base of your nail bed, the beds right below that half-moon on your nail. Next, give your hands a rubdown with lotion and wipe your palms clean on a dry towel.

6.Douse a cotton ball with astringent and wipe your nails the alcohol dries then, making polish stick. But alcohol dries cuticles, so swipe them with oil to rehydrate keep the oil off your nails. Wait two minutes, and then apply base coat, two coats of polish, and a top coat.

Some additional info about manicure :

The word 'manicure' is derived from the Latin word 'manus' (meaning -hand) cure (care).
A manicure is a cosmetic beauty treatment for the fingernails and hands. A home manicure can treat just the hands, just the nails, or both.
A standard manicure usually includes filing and shaping of the nails and the application of polish, but there are also speciality manicures, like: Salon Manicure, French Manicure, Spa Manicure. Treatments for hands usually include soaking in a softening substance and application of hand lotion.

Enjoy!!
